MultiDim offers unbeatable freedom and ease of lighting system design.The MultiDim controllers can be used with any DALI-compatible fluorescent lamp ballasts and lamp interface units. In addition, there are very few restrictions on cabling topology, with the single, two-core control line both supplying power and carrying all the control signals. In most cases standard, low-cost mains rated cable is adequate for this purpose, and cable lengths of up to 300 meters are possible. Where necessary control functions can be provided by adding the required MultiDim units, such as dimmers, control panels, IR remote control units and sensors for light levels and room occupancy.

DALI Command MultiDim’s addressable digital architecture uses only a single two-core mains rated cable to interconnect all units. Ballasts in luminaires can be assigned freely to groups (up to 16) which are controlled by any MultiDim control device. Up to 63 devices can be connected to the DALI cable in any order.The 230 V mains supply is connected only to the luminaires. The mains supply can be connected at any convenient point in the system, making DALI Command MultiDim a cost-effective and easy-to-install solution for refurbishment projects.
